RETIRO CORAL 2023 
CHORAL WORKSHOP in PUERTO VALLARTA, JALISCO 

From August 8th to 13th, 2023 we will carry out a choral workshop in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. We want to invite everyone who is interested in improving their singing abilities, vocal technique, choral repertoire, acting skills, and sight-reading to participate.  The workshop will be held in spanish, english, and french. 

We will also have choral conducting classes for students who want to develop their conducting skills with a choir, and to receive advice from professional conductors. 

WHO IS THE WORKSHOP FOR? 

1. Singing participants. 
2. Choral conducting students. 

WHERE WILL IT TAKE PLACE? 

It will take place downtown Puerto Vallarta at the Arte VallARTa Museo. The atmosphere will allow us to concentrate deeply on the musical elements, but also to enjoy the beach, the restaurants and everything that this beautiful port city offers. 

WHO ARE THE TEACHERS? 

The workshop will be led by Aquiles Morales (Poder Coral’s founder, conductor of the Vallarta Symphony Orchestra, the renowned Mexican tenor Carlos Courrech, Mexican soprano Yunuen Xolotzin Flores and Maestro Fernando Olascoaga (conductor of Cantoría Toluca and Coro Xinantécatl). 

We will approach choral singing with emotional and bodily balance through the voice. Actress and yoga trainer Norma Suárez will help you improve your acting skills, and our mornings will begin with yoga sessions at the beach. 

We will be accompanied at the piano by Maestro Diego Lizaola who will also offer a sight-reading workshop.

 WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE WORKSHOP? 

The payment includes the entire course: yoga sessions, vocal technique, conducting classes, rehearsals and final concert. It will be held from August 8 to 13 from 8:30 to 5 pm. 

The lodging and the meals are not included. We will propose lunch menus in restaurants near the Museum with affordable prices as well as some lodging options. Puerto Vallarta has very diverse price options from Airbnb or hostels to luxury hotels. 

PRICES: 

Adult: $6000 (Mexican pesos) 
Music student: $4,000 (Mexican pesos) 
Choral conducting students with active participation conducting: $5,000 (Mexican pesos) 

There is the possibility of paying in 3 parts.
